As a young girl playing make-believe “beauty salon”, Laura always knew her destiny was to be styling for the hottest stars in Hollywood.
Laura called Laguna Beach, California, home for most of her life, but was fortunate enough to attend high school at St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont. She spent her days at boarding school studying multiple art forms and believes that her experiences there played a huge role in the crossover to a career as a hair stylist and makeup artist. This connection is very clear to Laura, she says “The art of anatomy and drawing the human form made it even more clear to me how I could enhance someone’s beauty, for example, where to apply shadowing with blush on the cheekbone.”
After completing cosmetology school at the Institute of Creative Enhancement in Orlando, Florida, Laura traveled around the country working in every aspect of the beauty industry. This wonderful experience helped her to fine tune her craft and expand her creativity. Socializing and networking led to many incredible job opportunities with clients such as major television networks, magazines, fashion shows and awards ceremonies.
She recently relocated to the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles and was looking for a salon to call home. The planets must have been in alignment because her bright energy and magnetic personality were an instant fit with the salon. “I felt like Goldilocks right when I walked in, it was just right!”
